The Downstream 2018 Conference & Exhibition (formerly known as the Downstream Engineering, Construction & Maintenance Conference) is regarded as the No. 1 global meeting place for petrochemical, refining and liquefied natural gas (LNG) professionals involved in capital projects, maintenance and turnarounds. More than 2,000 attendees representing major global owner operators, EPCs, contractors, software providers, equipment and staffing firms, and more, will be on hand at the Galveston Convention Center and surrounding San Louis Resort to drive transformative change in productivity, interoperability and performance.
Conference attendees will have access to four dedicated conference tracks, offering world-class best practices and real-time examples of:
- Digital Transformation: Developing executive strategies for the boardroom and exploring digital tools and their impact in the field
- Productivity Breakthroughs: Dramatically increasing efficiency with smarter contracting, planning and execution strategies
- Organizational Integration: Breaking down silos to foster a culture of cross team buy-in and knowledge transfer
- Mature Maintenance Strategies: Moving beyond the output-led maintenance approach and striking the balance between production and maintenance schedules
- Fostering a Culture of Reliability: Discovering how to build a culture where change can flourish
Hexagon PPM will have two featured speakers participating at Downstream 2018.
Catavolt Director of Global Business Development Patrick Harrigan is slated to give a demonstration and presentation titled “Reimagining Field Operations with Mobility” on Thursday, May 31, at 10:55 a.m. in the Innovation & Development Theatre. Harrigan will introduce one of Hexagon’s newest technologies, Catavolt’s mobile app platform, and demonstrate to attendees how to transform construction, production, operations and maintenance processes by providing their mobile workforces access to all the data they need, with one app.
PPM Senior Executive Industry Consultant Stefan Ceulemans will be a panelist at a session titled “Digital Adoption for Capital Projects – Culture, Complexity and Cybersecurity” on Friday, June 1, at 12:05 p.m. Ceulemans and fellow panelists representing companies such as KPMG, Eastman, Halliburton and Chevron will weigh the barriers to digital innovation against the opportunities for increased capital project success and why the industry has been so slow to adopt it.
Hexagon PPM Executive Vice President for the Americas Region Don Brundage said, “This is our third year to participate in the Downstream Conference, which has established itself as the premier gathering of leaders in petrochemical, refining and LNG projects, and maintenance. We are very pleased to be part of such a significant event that brings all of the industry stakeholders together to share thought leadership that will help define the future of the downstream industry.”
Located in Booth G9 of the 43,000-square-foot Galveston Convention Center Exhibition Hall, Hexagon PPM will be one of the 150-plus innovative exhibitors during Downstream 2018.
Downstream 2018 Senior Project Director Karla Sharp said, “We are very pleased to be working with Hexagon PPM again, to build what is the largest and most highly-regarded meeting place for the petrochemical, chemical, refining and LNG communities, globally. The event consists of an unrivaled capital project and maintenance speaker faculty and audience, representing all the industry’s major stakeholders – owner operators, EPCs, contractors, service and solution providers – leading the charge in enhancing the way our industry run projects and maintenance work for decades to come.”
