In two weeks’ time ONS 2016, an international meeting place for the energy industry for more than 40 years, will be taking place in Stavanger, Norway. GetSmart! Blog looked at the ONS agenda to highlight a few interesting topics.

This year the ONS conference theme is Transition. ONS 2016 aims to focus on the actions needed to steer from the current situation to a more stable and desirable one. Transition will be addressed based on three main pillars: transition to a new market reality, transition to a more sustainable world and leadership in periods of transformation. There will be 250+ speakers in the five conference areas.

In addition to the generic exhibition, this year the technical sessions are divided into 5 different sections, featuring speakers from companies such as Statoil, Kvaerner and GE Oil & Gas. Another worthy-of-visiting feature of ONS is the ONS Summit 2016, where the ONS Foundation and Munich Security Conference (MSC), are partnering for a high-level debate on energy security challenges, uncertainties in the energy markets and the current geopolitics of energy. More than 60 leaders from the energy industry, politics and the security community, will meet for roundtable discussions on global energy trends, their geopolitical and industrial implications, and the challenges they pose to companies and states.

You can come to meet Intergraph PP&M Norway team during ONS 2016 - Intergraph, together with the local partners Visco and eVision, is arranging a Cocktail Gathering on Tuesday 30th of August at Backstage Bar between 7-9 PM. You can contact Mari Helgeland for more information about the event.
