Houston turns out in force for SmartPlant Construction launch party

More than 80 industry professionals gathered at the Fox & Hound in Houston on Tuesday evening to see SmartPlant Construction – the newest member of the SmartPlant Enterprise portfolio.

Intergraph sponsored the launch party to give people in the Houston area an opportunity to see the software live, and learn why premier partners such as Fluor, Technip, CTCI, Kiewit, Nexen, and URS Washington Division worked with Intergraph to create SmartPlant Construction. This follows a similar launch party in Calgary on September 29.

Chuck Gill, Intergraph’s Procurement, Fabrication & Construction executive manager in the Americas, reports on those in attendance Tuesday evening:

“The interest in SmartPlant Construction is amazing. Engineering, procurement, and construction companies as well as owner operators were represented in large numbers. Everyone I spoke with is excited about Intergraph’s vision for SmartPlant Construction, and how it can help them execute projects more cost-efficiently and effectively.”

SmartPlant Construction was designed specifically for process, power, and marine firms to more efficiently plan and manage plant, ship, and offshore construction, resulting in increased productivity, accelerated project completion, and reduced risk. By seamlessly integrating engineering, procurement, fabrication, and site materials, SmartPlant Construction facilitates improved work planning, efficient information exchange for better communication and enhanced engineering and construction work processes.
