Hexagon PPM, the leading global provider of engineering software for the design, construction and operation of plants, ships and offshore facilities, tonight presented the first Trailblazers of Digital Operations Award to Deepwater Subsea and Petrobras during its 50th anniversary celebration at HxGN LIVE, Hexagon’s digital solutions conference in Las Vegas.
Hexagon PPM created the Trailblazers of Digital Operations to recognize customers who are true champions of progress and continue to move their company and industry forward in digital transformation. Deepwater Subsea, headquartered in Katy, Texas, and longtime Hexagon customer Petrobras, headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, were selected as the first honorees for their inventive uses of new and legacy solutions
The 19th annual Golden Valve Awards recognize the most innovative and well-executed uses of software supported by Hexagon PPM solutions. First-place winners in each category receive a US$1,000 prize and all entries are considered for Judges’ Choice awards at $1,000 each.
Fandy Maulana Sayh Rizal of PT. Rekayasa Industri in Indonesia was this year’s recipient of the prestigious “Best of Show” prize during the awards ceremony. The winning submission was created using Intergraph Smart® P&ID, Smart Instrumentation and Smart Review and depicts a night view of a fly ash silo and electrostatic precipitator used for a steam turbine generator.
The “Best of Show” winner receives $1,500 and complimentary registration to HxGN LIVE, a plaque featuring the winning image and the entry will grace the cover of the 2020 Golden Valve wall calendar from Hexagon.
Recipients of the 10th annual Platinum Pipe Awards were honored for the most innovative automation ideas and implementations of Intergraph Smart 3D, Smart P&ID, Smart Electrical and Smart Instrumentation.
Entries from Toyo Engineering (Japan), China Tianchen Engineering Corporation (China) and Petrobras (Brazil) claimed first-place Platinum Pipe awards in the Smart Review, Smart 3D and Engineering & Schematics categories, respectively.

The annual Drivers of Success competition recognizes innovative applications of CADWorx®, CAESAR II®, PV Elite® and GT STRUDL®. Impressive project results are honored and showcase significant benefits from collaboration among disciplines and the integration of the products.
The 2019 Drivers of Success winners were:
