Intergraph Smart® Review

The CloudWorx add-on uses the Leica Geosystems HDS Cyclone™ software platform to provide access to point cloud data inside Intergraph Smart Review. This powerful combination enables you to perform a plant walkdown without leaving the comfort and safety of your office!

SmartPlant® Interop Publisher (Publisher) provides a single solution to handle various 3D model and data formats (graphics and object properties) for display and use in SmartPlant Review, Intergraph Smart 3D, SmartPlant Foundation, and Intergraph Smart Construction applications.

• Microsoft Project by Microsoft Corp.

  Primavera Authorized PartnerControl large and complex projects efficiently with P3, high-performance project management software. P3 interfaces to the animated, interactive Schedule Review function in SmartPlant Review's Construction Module. P3 handles large-scale projects of up to 100,000 activities. You can organize, filter and sort activities, projects and resources in a variety of ways.
• Leica Geosystems, Trimble, Quantapoint and LFM Software
  provide interface software to SmartPlant Review that allows existing conditions captured with laser scanners to be viewed in the design environment, or in a walk-through design review environment. Leica's Cyclone Point Cloud Engine displays HDS-produced point clouds in SmartPlant Review. Trimble's LASERGen product enables the display of point clouds from multiple scanner formats inside SmartPlant Review. Quantapoint’s PRISM 3D interface enables interactive and photorealistic 3D laser models of actual as-built laser documentation to be accessed from SmartPlant Review. The LFM Server software is fast, easy to use and includes live links to SmartPlant Review.

The construction module extends Intergraph Smart Review capabilities with integrated project scheduling and collision detection functionality. As a construction-sequencing tool, SmartPlant Review includes ScheduleReview, which turns data from your project planning software into a visual display of the construction or demolition progress. Plan safe and appropriately timed equipment installation with the collision detection function as you move equipment through the plant with sound effects and highlights.

• ScheduleReview – This is 4D CAD at its finest. ScheduleReview takes information from project schedules and displays the project as it should appear on a specified day, or flies through the model while displaying the construction or demolition sequence. This gives you the ability to visualize the project schedule to reveal things that are not obvious from simple Gantt or PERT charts. Reduce construction conflicts, respond to schedule changes, visualize critical paths with ScheduleReview and query features to search your model for objects. ScheduleReview supports two popular planning programs, helping to analyze and visualize the construction process in numerous ways: Primavera Project Planner® and Microsoft Project™.
• Collision Detection – Improves safety and operations procedures by planning equipment movement. The dynamic collision detection display shows objects that share the same 3D space. Collisions are reported as groups of objects are driven through the model with a mouse or a joystick, as well as with precision controls.
• Snapshot – Used for creating an image file of the main view, application window, or entire screen. You can create a high quality anti-aliased image of any resolution, including support for standard output types such as .bmp and .jpg.

Smart Review API module includes programming libraries that allow developers to create programs that run on Smart Review, though the API module is not a requirement to run the custom applications, merely to create them. The on-line programmers' reference manual contains a complete list of function calls and programming examples. Key features include:

• API Library - Interfaces with the API as a C library function that can be linked into your application program to control Smart Review functions. These functions give your application direct control over the working of Smart Review instead of just sending commands that a user would enter. This gives your application more control and flexibility. Your VB programs may also be linked in similar fashion.
• Save VUE file - Provides the ability to create a VUE file while inside Smart Review.
• Snapshot - Defined in Construction Module section.

The Smart Review On-Site Drawing Generation Module is a powerful, versatile product that allows you to bring design and drawing capabilities from the office to your project site. This module features fast, intelligent hidden line display capability – your drawing maintains intelligence even when displayed in hidden-line mode. The module also improves communication, because you control the way the drawing will appear to others. Additionally, by reducing the time required to process and display hidden line removal from hours to a fraction of a second, the On-Site Drawing Generation Module saves time and money.

Smart Review's Photo Realism module will take your still images to a new level of quality. Raytracing a 3D model creates depth and realism. You control lighting and display attributes for a realistic image with textures, patterns, shadows, and reflections, improving communication to clients and managers. Features include realistic material definitions, unlimited light sources, and unsurpassed photo matching capabilities. Visualize designs during each stage of the development process and create powerful presentations that communicate and sell your ideas. You can load high-quality still renderings fast, enable viewing across the Web, and access associated documents and information.

• Material Editor (to define and create materials) – Lets you establish characteristics for rendering your model. You can select an element's color, attach and manipulate patterns using real world patterning, smooth and drape material on an object, and manipulate the color of a pattern. The Material Editor interface has been improved to make it more flexible and easier to use. Material Editor enables you to create or choose colors and patterns easily for customizing your design appearance, then quickly adjust them for improved realism.
• Texture Shading – Displays the material definitions that include patterns and textures such as dirt, marble, wood and brick. Textures may be displayed for stills or animations.
• Hi-res Printing – Create a wall size print of your model fast. The high resolution printing option allows you to determine the x and y image resolution. Advanced tiling functionality does it fast.

• Stereo Viewing – Use an infrared emitter and polar stereo glasses hardware to bring your model out of the screen. Set your eye separation and target.

The Smart Review Point Cloud Integrator Module offers vendor-neutral point cloud data integration with the plant modeling software environment.

Integration of point cloud data within Smart Review helps lower the time, effort, and cost of process plant retrofit engineering and construction projects. It extends the use of 3D CAD to more projects. Point cloud integration also helps in the planning of existing plant remodeling by coupling existing plant configuration provided by point cloud scans with 3D model displays.
