ECM S.A. Projetos Industriais of Brazil Wins ‘Best of Show’ in 14th Annual Golden Valve Awards Sponsored by Intergraph®
SNERDI and CNPCCEI of China and Brazil’s Promon Engeharia receive first-place awards in Platinum Pipe competition05 giugno 2014
ECM S.A. Projetos Industriais (ECM), a Brazil-based consolidated engineering company with extensive experience in multidisciplinary industrial projects with an emphasis on the mineral sector, was presented the “Best of Show” award in the 14th annual Golden Valve Awards customer competition sponsored by Intergraph®. ECM was honored in Las Vegas this week during HxGN LIVE, the annual user conference for Intergraph's Process, Power & Marine division and other Hexagon divisions.
The Golden Valve Awards annually recognizes the most innovative and well-executed uses of Intergraph Process, Power & Marine solutions. The competition is open to all users of Intergraph's market-leading engineering design software and the subject matter must relate to the process, power, offshore, shipbuilding or mining industries.
Intergraph solutions provided integration between disciplines on an ECM project for Vale, a Brazilian multinational diversified metals and mining corporation. Intergraph Smart™ 3D and SmartPlant® Review helped ECM’s Engineering Team create an image detailing a ball mill unit on a brownfield project in Brazil. The “Best of Show” winning image depicts a building in a drop of water coming from the piping model.
ECM Mechanical Supervisor Carolina Braganca said, “Smart 3D and SmartPlant Review are fundamental part of our mining projects. Our teams work in integrated environments, consistently designing for optimal fabrication and construction. As our final customer uses SmartPlant Materials, SmartPlant Foundation and SmartPlant Construction, we are able to integrate seamlessly and provide an outstanding handover delivery.”
