Inspection and Certification Company Inspecta to Use Intergraph® Pipe Stress Analysis Tool CAESAR II® to Improve Productivity

The application will enable Inspecta to quickly test analysis models and accurately reflect changes in the piping system

Inspecta, a certification body and provider of inspection, testing, certification, training and technical consultancy services in Northern Europe, will use Intergraph’s pipe stress analysis tool CAESAR II® to improve productivity and respond to increasing demand, particularly in the Swedish market.

Inspecta, which operates in all countries in the European Nordic region and across a number of sectors, including oil and gas, chemical, pulp andpaper and metals and mining, required a tool that could quickly test analysis models and accurately reflect changes in the piping system, while meeting all international codes and standards.

The company valued the tool’s analysis options, the error checker and the reporting features, which enable faster and more efficient inspections. “This error checker feature analyzes the user input and checks for consistency from both a ‘finite element’ and‘piping’ point of view. Reports are clear, accurate, concise and fully user-definable, which allows us to provide high quality inspections for our clients, with the lowest possible interference in their plant production and operations,” said Peder Andersson, Manager Design Review of Inspecta.

Gerhard Sallinger, Intergraph Process, Power & Marine president, said, “The collaboration with Inspecta highlights the increasing importance companies place on technology development and accuracy to comply with regulations and industry-highest standards. This partnership reinforces Intergraph’s strong position in Northern Europe and expands opportunities within the manufacturing, process and quality control sectors.”

Intergraph CAESAR II evaluates the structural responses and stresses of piping systems to international codes and standards. It is the pipe stress analysis standard against which all others are measured. CAESAR II makes it easy to input and display all the data needed to accurately define a piping system analysis model. You can access or modify input on an element-by-element basis, or select datasets to make global changes.

The ARC Advisory Group, a leading industry analyst firm, ranked Intergraph as the No. 1 overall worldwide provider of engineering design solutions for industry according to its “Engineering Design Tools for Industry and Infrastructure Worldwide Outlook Market Analysis and Forecast Through 2016.
